A quick question here. In a two player game, are the sides of the field legible to be play with? Meaning can a figure enter the zones within the side of the cross field in a 2 player game.

The reason I ask is if the answer is no, this will result at any figure being pushed to the side of the cross field being knocked down which means there is a risk of initiating a tackling contest near the side of the cross field.

Hope to get some answer soon. Thanks.

There are no areas of the field that are off-limits no matter what the player count of the game is. So yes, you can go through those side areas of the field in a two player game.
