126.96.36.199 describes the limitations of certain weapon systems when firing at armor. My question relates to the bullet that explains how to achieve odds greater than "2" vs. armor.
The last line states "Secondary weapon strengths are not counted." Does this apply only for the last unit type listed, Artillery/Mortar/Rocket units, or does it apply to all of them?
So armor units firing at other armor units would not count their secondary weapons if they wanted to get an odds column better than 2 vs enemy armor? In other words, to get an odds column better than 2, armor, AT, + artillery, and heavy AA units could only figure the odds using their primary weapons?
It might be a bit pedantic, but I just want to be sure I've got it right.
What I am setting up in that section is this intent. Secondary weapons are usually small arms and machine guns. Those weapons have no more than an ability to suppress armor to S2. They can make the tank crews button up but no more. Alone they have no ability to destroy a tank unit.
If you want odds of "2" or greater against an armor unit then you can only add the primary weapons factors of any or all the unit types listed in that bullet.
So you can use the Primary weapon factors only from:
Armor of medium and hard types (but not half-tracks or armored cars)
Heavy AA (88mm)
Artillery/Mortar/Rockets with (+)
