I suppose you could have had an actual useful response.

Steve, thanks. None of my local shops carry their products so it is hard to find out if they have been just released.

Someone posted on your other post about not seeing the notice in the first place.

I think I saw it from their Facebook page but will be doing some demos for Ares in August and they said it was not available yet.

I just heard from the Ares rep at BGG Con that he would not have any of the bombers with him.

Not quite released here yet but it should be very soon.

Sorry to hear that. It seems they will be several months behind their timetable on having them released then. I guess I can hope that we in the USA can buy them before Christmas.

I read 19th of November on Ares' site:

http://www.aresgames.it/upcoming-products

This could mean within one week.

Thanks for the link. If I remember correctly doesn't the dam buster come with a solo playable mission?

No, B-17s and the regular Lancaster have only special rules for their crew and for an industrial complex target card, twice than normal in size.

Andrea I love the attention to detail. I quite literally just found out Ares was doing the bombers and as I was telling my dad and his first question was "Are the noses different on the 17F and 17G?"

As I browse Ares' website and find pictures I love how both bombers do indeed look different and uniquely stylized to the actual bombers they represent.

I daresay you and Ares have outdone yourselves! Time to catch up on my WoG collection!

Thanks for your kind words! We did what we could. Yes there is a "chin" turret when due.
It has not always been possible, but differences between specimen of the same model have often been featured in the past. Some planes show different weapons or propeller, or even engines (it happened with some ww1 two-seater).
The two Lancaster are differemnt in the lower part, one has the Dambusters' bouncing bomb and the other has not it.
