Let'd Dome it up tonight.

TOPIC: FRUIT (more to come)

It's free for all style. Make one guess. If your guess is on the list then you stay in for the next round. The next round will be the same list and topic.

I will take guesses at 1215-1230 when I open the thread. Anyone can come in then. At 1230 I will resolve for the next round. Timelines will then be generally as long as the players need.

NO RESEARCH!

Name one of the fruits that is highest in fiber (based on an about.com article on thyroid disease, lol).

It has to be on that list.

Round 1 closes at 10:40

What the! I missed this?!?
I was checking my subscriptions, not the general forum. You mean while I was busy eagerly thinking up topics, you were in fact playing in another thread?

Megan! (Well I would have been had I joined Violin's RL Simulation game.)

I learned how to make homemade fancy art paper and card paper in elementary school- with a screen and everything, and learned calligraphy then too. I don't remember too much now though. A year or so ago, while in the Charlevoix region of QC we visited an art paper making/stationary place too, and watched a video on how to make it and saw machines making art paper, and all the steps involved, if done the professional way.

I didn't specifically learn how to make it with coconut, but I figure the same techniques would work. I was looking at one of my colleagues' calligraphy work, that he does as a hobby- he's pretty talented. That gave me the idea. It's the same colleague whose wife gave me this coconut fiber to begin with, with most of the milk and taste already squeezed out. I assume all that's left is fiber because it is very stringy to eat. I figured it would be a nice little thing to give back.

Oh, what also gave me the idea, is I remember learning in my Plants & People's class that you can buy elephant poo paper, because their poo is so fibrous from what they eat. http://new.poopoopaper.com/index.php/about-us/the-process-fr...
I think coconut paper would smell better.

We visited the National Museum of Natural History on Saturday and they had Panda Poo paper for sale in the gift shop. I think it might even have been that same brand.

Nice! I like panda bears! It's like having a part of real panda with you in your own home.
I was very amused that the website called their shop, the Poo-tique. There's a few of these websites. I just picked any one, as an example, so I wouldn't get crazy eyes from people.

Edit: Actually I doubt it would be the same, because the one I linked is based in Thailand. I'd imagine the panda one would be based in China.
