Although the components to this game ate pretty good, I find the US artillery pieces rather fragile ( I already had to crazy good a wheel back on). Any suggestions on how to reinforce them?

The German artillery is equally poor.

I replaced both sets with nice ones from the Axis & Allies collectable minis. I picked them up cheap on ebay.

Add bases? Days of Wonder added bases to artillery from the later sets and they are MUCH sturdier.

I am being serious for a change, I actually added bases to my Memoir artillery and it made all the difference.

Sir Jim - I'm missing something. What's the piece in the lower middle? (Wonderful job BTW.)

Chris,

It is the anti-tank piece from, I think, the British Desert expansion.
