More gameplay questions after some more quite epic battles . . .

Durvasa's Curse gives a bonus for each card in the opposing battlefield. Is this bonus fixed at the time of casting, or does it fluctuate as the game state changes? (We played the latter, but were by no means certain it was correct.)

Similarly, Virabhadra's Roar gives a bonus for each card in your hand. Does the bonus fluctuate as you continue playing / drawing cards?

A Sip of Soma gives Valor based on your opponent Warrior's stats. Does this mean base stat, or does it include adjustments by scrolls? Weapons? A Warrior's own Special ability?

Similarly, Airavat's Trumpets doubles a Warrior's stats. Is this before or after other effects?

Without having seen any of the BGG / KS discussion, my opponent questioned the effectiveness / cost of both Severe Penance and Copper Kavacha. Any news on errata (or pre-release binning) of these cards?

But with all these questions, we had a blast! The last game of the night ran up towards an hour, with both of us staring hard at our cards, running scenarios - with our life down to 2 and 1 each - as we tried to figure out which to discard so as to have the best chance of surviving just *one more round* . . .

So, answers on a postcard, please, and we'll throw more questions your way after more playtesting.

Great to see you start playing your PnP and having fun. We have taken a note of your questions. These cards along with some others will be reworded to weed out the ambiguity.

1. Durvasa's Curse- The effect of the card is to award a Plus 1 to attack OR defense for each card in the opponent's battlefield. So depending on the state of the game the effect changes.

2. Virabhadra's Roar- Yes, the final effect of the card can change as it depends on the cards in your hand

3. A Sip of Soma- This is based on the altered stats of the warrior (weapons, scrolls) and not the base stats. Just yesterday, one of my friends used this on an altered Kumbhakarna (with an attack of 6) to get a massive 11 valour and deploy all cards in his hand. this one move ensured he came back from the back to win the game.

4. Airavat Trumpets- This is based on the altered stats of the warrior (weapons, scrolls) and not the base stats.

5. Severe Penance- Will be one of the most sought after cards soon. Might be the only way to play some of the high valour cards. Copper kavacha is handy, no? We will look into it. Thanks!

Another question: Unless noted, we assume that a Scroll's effect ends when the Scroll is discarded or otherwise removed from the battlefield. Does this mean that, for example, the +1V received by the Valour Scroll is lost if not used before playing (eg.) Roll of the Dice?

Yes, the effect of a scroll is active during the time that it is on the battlefield. The time to leverage the effect of the scrolls is when you play them to the battlefield.
