I'm very interested in the Hawaii style hanafuda deck (the one with the point values and Yaku symbols printed on the cards). I am especially interested in hearing opinions of how this plays as a 4-player partnership game?

I love my Nintendo hanafuda deck for playing koi-koi with my wife, and would love a chance to play the partnership game.

Thanks for the info! One thing I wonder is, can team mates discuss strategy, or do you keep quiet during play?

No official ruling about conversation.
But in my experiences, keep quiet is better.

Do you need two decks to play this version?
