Just what the subject line says. I understand that D&D Next is making its debut at GenCon, but are there some other releases generating some buzz?

Well, my list of games to check out is pretty long, but the definite one for me is The Battle of Five Armies.

I'm just wondering how Wizards is going to sell D&D Next without a booth. Two years in a row now Wizards' Gen Con presence has been next to nothing.

I know they stopped being co-sponsors and all, but wow.

As for games I'm looking forward to, I am REALLY hoping to be able to grab one of the Premium Sets of Doomtown: Reloaded.

I'm pretty sure that Wizards presence is massive. They have dedicated DnD events running all day, every day. There is also a big launch party for DnD among other things.

I think they don't have a booth because DnD gets an entire wing.

King of New York

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles – Base Set

Firefly: The Game – Blue Sun

Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game

If I had to guess, I think these 4 titles will be tough to get a hold of.

Imperial Settlers
Has been flying up the hotness lately as well.

Their "booth" last year was huge- it was just outside the dealers hall. They also ran hundreds of events, as they are this year.

I got to play a demo of a prototype Attack Wing: Dungeons & Dragons at the Wizkids booth at Origins. I'm hoping to get to see some more of that.

I believe Imperial Setters is already 30%+ sold out. Portal Games has it for pre-order with gencon pickup on their website.

I'm one of those pre orders

I have that one and Sheriff of Nottingham pre ordered for gen con pick up.

I also have Dead of Winter pre ordered, and I'm hoping I have it in hand before Gencon so I can pack it up and bring a long to play.

The pre order bug has bitten me, first time I really have done my GenCon purchases this way, will have to see how it works out, hopefully I won't spend too much money at the con too.

Pre Ordered:

Imperial Settlers

Doomtown: Reloaded

Sheriff of Nottingham

all for pick up at GenCon

Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game

hopefully arriving before

and The D&D players handbook to arrive when I get home..

feels weird to have my GenCon shopping sorta done, but don't have to worry about the rush anymore so that will be fun casually strolling around picking up my loot
