Fairly restrictive event. 100pts, chief engineer, skilled helmsman, hideki fighters and federation fighters are the only resources... and no admirals orders.

I was considering either winning the captains battle or forfeiting it.

To win the captains battle

Vor'cha + LE Martok
Mah't'ha + Picard
Vor'cha + Kirk

To lose the captains battle (delays the battle by 1 turn)

Vor'Cha Captain (0)
Vor'Cha Captain (0)
Vor'Cha Captain (0)
Ch'Tang Captain (0)

Thoughts? Obviously if I see a sling shot build, I'll avoid turn 1

Or should I run something else?

Mah't'ha Martok (8)
Vor'Cha Koloth (7) + ngaren
Vor'Cha Worf (5) + drex

Martok 8 will do if you don't have Martok 9. Also, replace as many of these with B'Rels as you can, especially if you're allowed to run Khan 8 on one of them.

4 ships and win the captains battle... got it.

18 Gr'oth 6 Martok LE
20 Br'el Class 4 Gowron
22 Ch'Tang 4 Koloth
20 Enterprise C 6 Picard

This should do it. Its higher captain points, more firepower than what I had, almost as good as your suggestion. And makes use of the models that I own.

After the captains battle, I can move Picard to the Ch'tang. Gowron to the Enterprise. Koloth on the Br'll and Martok gets sacrificed to the Gr'oth. Use that ship as the heavy hitter and the rest as roadblocks until they get popped.

Wish I had a single B'rel nevermind 2! Also wish I had an Enterprise C! Lol

Looks like a decent 4 ship build with good captains. Could you do 4 b'rels? Haha

I own two Ch'tangs. If I bought another Koraga (is that the one?)

Then I could run two 2 Ch'tangs and 2 Br'ells... thats not really 4 Br'ells but darn close. oh wait... ch'tang is named.

I guess I can run 3 of them right now, the sad part is I left my other ch'tang at home, sealed up still.

hmmm... failure.

Assuming you're playing at Legends tonight I can bring along a Ch'tang and a Koraga for you to use. I'm heading out around 5:15 so just let me know.

Yes please.

I'll be there at 6pm (I'm green shirt with klingons).

I don't think I'd run more than 3 B'Rels

Hey look, the Federation has Tactical cubes. Are there any drones on this thing?

You don't mind posting me the spare unique cards and captain chits from the second ch'tang do you? I've been trying to get my hands on Martok 9 for a while.

So I played last night. My build was terrible. The game still favors 2 very powerful ships with lots of toys. The newest toy is having an admiral on an away mission scenario.

Good luck.

The deciding factor in our game was your terrible rolls when collecting resources. Had resources been more evenly distributed I think the Captain's battle could have swung your way. Of course there's so much luck in this scenario its hard to judge.

The eventual winner was a three ship build, Sphere, Groth and Attack Ship, I believe. It beat a single ship Tac cube in the final round, after handling a two ship fed build pretty severely.
