Yesterday we had this situation come up and I didn't know for sure how to handle it.

The Corporation was at 4 agenda points scored with Breaking News having one advancement token and AutoScript Pilot Program at 2 on the field. His last action of the turn was to put the final advancement token on APP to score it. Then he used the hosted counter from APP to put the final advancement token on Breaking News which gave him 7 points for the win.

Can this all happen in the same "use paid abilites/rez non-ice cards/score agendas" window after the third and final action? My interpretation is as soon as it's scored it has the counter (even though we can't move instantaneously to flip and put the counter on it), which can be used whenever you can use a paid ability. Since this is the final window where you can score agendas, can you score APP, use the counter to score Breaking News all in that same window before the Corp's discard phase?

As you described it that sounds fine. There is no limit to the actions you can take in that window. It's certainly not that uncommon to chain actions. Clone chipping a parasite, datasuckers to kill the ice, immediately comes to mind as an example.

Although a rare situation, still perfectly valid play. Consult timing chart and you'll see that there's a window for paid abilities after playing a card / spending click.

The actual important part here is that it's a window for "Paid Abilities and/or Rezzing non-ICE cards and/or Scoring Agendas". There is no order to the window, you can use all three kinds of Abilities in any order.

Actually, he was clearly cheating, because AutoScript Pilot Program is a fake card.

However, if he was using AstroScript Pilot Program... whistle

It's a plugin for Microsoft Word. They've just launched a Pilot Program for those having a Desperado.

Little known fact: The original name for the card during initial game development was Autowin Pilot Program. whistle
