Though this game seemed crystal clear upon reading, I'm struggling to make it through the first turn. Here are my first questions:

1) Rule 9.2.4 says "The player may not move the convoy into the MACV space or have it leave the MACV space unless zones B and C are controlled." But... there are no men on the board at the beginning. How else am I supposed to get control of B and C zones if I'm not allowed to move men there??

2) Are these 3 actions simultaneous?
- Convoy counter lands upon MACV space
- Platoons on that convoy counter are put onto map's MACV space
- Convoy counter is flipped to its homeward "Phu Bai" side

Thanks. At this rate, more questions will be coming soon!

1) You have the MACV troops at the start. You have to get a little lucky to win those areas right away.

2) If I remember correctly they are simultaneous.

Thanks. But aren't the MCAV troops only used in the historical scenario?

Without them, though, I don't see how to proceed.

Oh, I think that's the only scenario I've played.

I suppose I will too! Hopefully in the meantime someone else can answer this.

I was being dumb. The "historical scenario" *is* the main scenario. Whoops.
