He's looking real sharp in his 1940's fedora. He's got nerves of steel, an iron will, and several other metal-themed attributes. His fur is water tight and he's always up for a fight.

He's a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action. He's a furry little flat-foot who'll never flinch from a fray. He's got more than just mad skills, he's got a beaver tail and a bill.

I drew the blown transmission card, and nobody had any transmission damage - I still yellow-flag restarted without affecting any car.

One: Should I have affected a random car?

Two: If not, should we have stayed green since nothing really happened?

I would say #2. No car met the text requirements so it became a non-event. Since there was no event, there's no Yellow Flag.

Correct rules section 8.1 says;

"If no car meets the requirements listed on the card it is treated as a non-event".

Cars can still pit as per the Green flag procedure however.

[Even] in their poverty, they referred to their garden of necessity as if it were a hobby.

I assumed that events and flags were generally unrelated bits of information on the cards.

I thought we've treated this like a debris caution in the past, Mitch?

I prefer to play it as a yellow, in any case. I like to think of it as a car having a 4 second lead with 2 laps to go, when a caution waves--everyone gets a chance again...

Steve has it right. If nothing happens, the race stays green.
