[This will run July 27 (9:00 PM BGG TIME) - August 1 (9:00 PM BGG Time) . Signups will close on July 27 at 3PM BGG Time.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

THE MISTS OF AVALON
Round 1: The Mist obscures travelers. The Roster is obscured and hidden this round. You do not know who is in the room until they post. You must post at least once in this round, otherwise you will considered inactive and will have to leave the game.

Round 2: The Mists Cover the Land and it is hard to see friend from foe! No public reveals (role or color) allowed or private color reveals. You may only private reveal, color share, or card share.

Round 3: A Fairy Portal Appears! Enter, if you dare! Beware of the Fairy Queen and her consequences if you are caught in her domain!

Round 4: Drink from the Holy Grail and regain a New Life! The Holy Grail appears in both rooms. People in the room may drink from the Holy Grail (Starting with the Leader of the room). Post "I DRINK FROM THE HOLY GRAIL". People may also decline to drink from the holy grail by saying "I DECLINE THE HOLY GRAIL". The Grail is passed around the room to all (One does not need to say "I pass the Grail to X Person" - One simply says after the leader has or has not drunk "I DRINK FROM THE HOLY GRAIL" to activate it.). The person who is worthy (randomly selected ahead of time) that drinks from the Grail at the appropriate time MUST change cards for a buried card of the same allegiance/color. If they are worthy, their change will remain hidden knowledge. Only ONE worthy person per room.

People must either drink once or decline once. Once they decide this, there is no going back.

Does NOT work on King/Dragon/Lady/Yellow Assassin (However they are welcome to "Drink" from the Grail - though it has no effect). Does not cleanse prior conditions (If they were Yellow or Foolish for example, they are still Yellow and Foolish).

Round 5: Sprite on the Loose! A Sprite is running around the rooms causing mischief! Catch the Sprite to gain a prize! The Sprite will be in both rooms. Each room can catch the Sprite in their room. Note: Once the Sprite is caught in the respective room, the Sprite will disappear. (One Catch Per Room).

To 'Catch the Sprite', one must make a 'post sandwich' around the Sprite. Must Bold the post as well as say where they caught the Sprite:

Example:
Nat Posts: Normal Post
Sprite Posts: I'm in the tree!
Nat Posts again: Caught the Sprite in the tree!
RESULT: Nat caught the Sprite!

Nat Posts: Normal Post
Sprite Posts: I'm in the tree!
Sprite Posts: I'm in the flowers!
Nat Posts again: Caught the Sprite in the tree!
RESULT: Does not catch the Sprite (as the Sprite has posted twice and the last place the Sprite was, was the flowers).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Introduction
Two Rooms and a Boom is a social deduction, hidden role game. There are two teams, the Red Team and the Blue Team. The Blue Team has a King. The Red Team has a Dragon. Players are equally distributed between two rooms (separate playing areas). The game consists of 5 timed rounds. At the end of each round, some players will be traded into opposing rooms. If the Red Team’s Dragon is in the same room as the Blue Team's King at the end of the game, then the Red Team wins. Otherwise the Blue Team wins.

PBF Rules
See PBF rules on the wiki.

PLAY BY FORUM NOTES
We will be using "OLD" transfer rules: a leader may choose to send themselves to be a hostage. Must transfer the room to someone before hand.
- I will be using LHLV (longest held last vote) to break tied votes for leadership.[/q]

28 players are participating, which means the rounds will have the following number of player swaps:

Round 1: 5 hostages
Round 2: 4 hostages
Round 3: 3 hostages
Round 4: 2 hostage
Round 5: 1 hostage

Re: 2R1B PBF #84 - Avalon: Quest for Camelot
ROLESET
NOTE: NOT ALL ROLES WILL BE IN THE GAME

TEAM BLUE
Blue King (King Arthur)- you are a primary character. Blue Team wins if you do not gain the "toast" condition. Must have Blue Excalibur at the end of the Game (Co-Reveal with Lady of the Lake).

Blue Spy (White Knight) - this is a special character card that is the color of the opposite team. This means, for example, that the blue Spy has an allegiance to the blue Team, but their card is red.

Blue Spy (Knight of Light) - this is a special character card that is the color of the opposite team. This means, for example, that the blue Spy has an allegiance to the blue Team, but their card is red.

Blue Negotiator (Sir Bedivere) - You begin with the “savvy” condition. Players with the “savvy” condition may only card share. You may not publicly, privately, or color share. Note: It is possible for “savvy” players to acquire conditions that prevent card sharing (e.g. the “coy” or “shy” condition). If this happens, then the “savvy” player can’t do anything with their card.

Blue Vacuum (Bors the Younger) - Whenever another player private reveals to you, you take their card. You do not gain the powers or role of any card you take. If you have three cards, your bag is full and you cannot suck up anymore cards.

Blue Dealer (Lady Guinevere) - you have the DEALER power: any player that card shares with you gains the "foolish" condition. Players with the "foolish" condition can never turn down an offer to card share. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "shy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Blue Criminal (Sir Tristan) - you have the CRIMINAL power: any player that card shares with you gains the "shy" condition. Players with the "shy" condition may not reveal any part of their card to any player. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "shy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Blue Conman (Sir Percival) - When a player agrees to color share with you, you may choose to force them to card share instead.

Blue Professor (Lancelot) - Any player that card shares with you acquires the "savvy" condition. "Savvy" players may only card share.

Blue Hunter (Sir Galahad) - take a player’s character card anytime they attempt to use a card share power on you. You, the Hunter, are not affected by that player’s card share power. You are not permitted to do anything with acquired cards, including showing the cards to others or using powers associated with the card. For example, if a Vampire card shares with you, the Vampire has no effect on you, but you get to keep the player's Vampire card. If 2 Hunters card share, nothing happens. Players whose cards were stolen maintain their powers and allegiance, but have obviously lost all ability to share their cards with others.

Blue Mirror (Sir Gawain) -When somebody would inflict a condition upon you through a card share, that person now has the condition he or she tried to inflict upon you, and you are immune to that condition for the rest of the game.

Blue Bully (Sir Yvain) - have the BULLY power: when a player agrees to color share with you, private reveal instead. They must private reveal their card too. Note: The Bully forces a private reveal, not a card share.

Blue Wallflower (Sir Taliesin) - You start the game with the "shy" condition ("shy" players may not reveal any part of their card to anyone). When someone private reveals to you, you lose the "shy" condition.

Blue Thug (Sir Feirefiz) - you have the THUG power: any player that card shares with you acquires the "coy" condition. Players with the "coy" condition may only color share even when a character's power might force a card share. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "coy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Blue Psychologist/Medic (Merlin) - when you privately reveal your card to a character with the "shy" condition or the “coy” condition, that "shy" or “coy” character may then immediately card share with you, the Psychologist. If this is done, the "shy" and/or “coy” condition is removed. Furthermore, if someone with the “paranoid” condition card shares with you, the “paranoid” condition is removed. You have the MEDIC power: any player that card shares with you has all “conditions” removed. This does not make yourself immune to acquiring conditions. The opposing Medic can remove your acquired conditions.

RED TEAM
Red Dragon (Dragon) - You are a primary character. Everyone in the same room as you at the end of the game gains the "toast" condition. The Red Team wins if the King gains the "toast" condition. Must have Red Excalibur at the end of the game (Co-Reveal with Lady of the Lake) .

Red Spy (Black Knight)- this is a special character card that is the color of the opposite team. This means, for example, that the red Spy has an allegiance to the red Team, but their card is blue.

Red Spy (Knight of Darkness)- this is a special character card that is the color of the opposite team. This means, for example, that the red Spy has an allegiance to the red Team, but their card is blue.

Red Negotiator (Sir Claudas) - You begin with the “savvy” condition.

Red Vacuum (Sir Rience) - Whenever another player private reveals to you, you take their card. You do not gain the powers or role of any card you take. If you have three cards, your bag is full and you cannot suck up anymore cards.

Red Dealer (Sir Agravain) - you have the DEALER power: any player that card shares with you gains the "foolish" condition. Players with the "foolish" condition can never turn down an offer to card share. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "shy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Red Criminal (Maleagant) - you have the CRIMINAL power: any player that card shares with you gains the "shy" condition. Players with the "shy" condition may not reveal any part of their card to any player. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "shy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Red Conman (Morgause) - When a player agrees to color share with you, you may choose to force them to card share instead.

Red Hunter (Sir Accolon) - take a player’s character card anytime they attempt to use a card share power on you.

Red Professor (Mordred) - Any player that card shares with you acquires the "savvy" condition. "Savvy" players may only card share.

Red Mirror (Hueil mab Caw) - When somebody would inflict a condition upon you through a card share, that person now has the condition he or she tried to inflict upon you, and you are immune to that condition for the rest of the game.

Red Bully (Sir Balin le Savage) - have the BULLY power: when a player agrees to color share with you, private reveal instead. They must private reveal their card too. Note: The Bully forces a private reveal, not a card share.

Red Wallflower (Sir Caradoc) - You start the game with the "shy" condition ("shy" players may not reveal any part of their card to anyone). When someone private reveals to you, you lose the "shy" condition.

Red Thug (Sir Lucius) - you have the THUG power: any player that card shares with you acquires the "coy" condition. Players with the "coy" condition may only color share even when a character's power might force a card share. Note: If a player with the "foolish" condition were to acquire the "coy" condition, the two conditions would cancel one another, leaving the player with neither condition.

Red Psychologist/Medic (Morgana) - when you privately reveal your card to a character with the "shy" condition or the “coy” condition, that "shy" or “coy” character may then immediately card share with you, the Psychologist.

OTHER TEAM

Lady of the Lake - Can show either Red or Blue color upon color reveals (does not show grey). Holds Red and Blue Excalibur. Must give Red Excalibur to Dragon and Blue Excalibur to King Arthur to win. Immune to all conditions (including Yellow). Does not win if Yellow Assassin wins. Can Not Public Reveal.

Yellow Assassin (The Fisher King) - you are on the Yellow Team. If the King does not gain the "toast" condition and you are in the same room as the King Yellow Team wins, but Blue Team loses. If the the King, Dragon, and you all end in the same room, then the Yellow Team, Blue Team, and even Red Team lose. You also have YELLOW power. Any player that card or color shares with you joins the Yellow Team. New members of Yellow Team maintain their powers and conditions, but their allegiance (and therefore win condition) changes to Yellow Team. However, the YELLOW power does not work on primary characters (e.g. King, Dragon, Lady).

Grey Traveler (The Wanderer) - you win if you are sent to a different room as a hostage at the end of MOST rounds. This means in a 5 round game, you must change room 3 times to win. In a 3 round game, you must change rooms twice to win.

Fortune Teller (Gambler) - the end of the last round (the 1 minute round), before all players reveal their cards, you, the Gambler, must publicly announce which team (Red Team, Blue Team, or neither) you think won the game. If you are correct, you win. If you are incorrect, you lose.

Re: 2R1B PBF #84 - Avalon: Quest for Camelot
RESULTS

Camelot was ablaze with voices as they all searched to find their leaders to guide them to victory! The Dragon was found in Camelot under a human disguise discovered by the White Knight. The Knight quickly found his King and told him of the dangerous Dragon. King Arthur thanked the Knight for his loyal service to the realm. They planned on what to do next. Wise Old Merlin thought it would be best to flee to the safety of Avalon. All agreed and left Camelot.

In Avalon, another force was in play. The Fisher King lurked in the shadows waiting for his time to strike. Lady Guinevere noticed this mysterious man and was instantly charmed by him. After several private messages to one another, they decided to meet and confess their feelings to one another.

After this rendezvous, the Fisher King, enchanted by Lady Guinevere's beauty was now foolish to the world. Other men's eyes followed this pair and were curious to know the secrets that the beautiful Lady had shared with this strange man. They too wanted to know and quickly offered a piece of their soul in return for this knowledge. They learned of a new and true king, whom they would now follow.

Meanwhile as the Fisher King gathered minions for his usurpation, The Lady of the Lake found both Arthur and the Dragon and bestowed the gift of Excalibur on both of them, telling them to wield it with courage and honor.

The Fisher King learned of this plan and sent Arthur away declaring that he was the only true king in this realm and he will learn to defeat the dragon! The hunters, Sir Galahad and Sir Accolon, both stopped the lovers Lady Guinevere and the Fisher King by setting a trap for them and stripping them of all their powers.

As the Lords and Ladies discussed their next plan, a portal appeared to the Misty Woods and Fairy Lake. Those who dared entered and disturbed her domain were cursed for a day. However, Morgause reversed her curse by using the only magic she knew, the power of laughter.

When it was time for the knights to drink of the Holy Grail, all gathered around this artifact and took turns. It was Sir Tristan and Sir Caradoc that were both chosen as true and pure Knights as they drank from the Holy Grail and transformed.

Lady Guinevere and Sir Galahad both caught the mischievous Sprite in their domain. Sir Galahad, a true Knight could not refuse the pure Sir Percival and offered the Sprite as a gift to him. Sir Percival accepted with much gratitude. The Sprite's gift was a secret message to the other Kingdom he would deliver.

The battle raged on for five long days. In the end, the Fisher King, Dragon, and King Arthur all found themselves in the mystical plane of Avalon with their fellow combatants. Friends and Foe alike at Camelot awaited news on who was to be victorious. Suddenly, a knight on a white horse appeared. He waved his white flag and stood on the outskirts of the castle.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! I bring tidings from afar:

A life, some would argue, is a series of problems. There’s no denying the truth in that – but why get lost in it? Why not rise above the truth… and lead a good life? Shouldn’t we all look at problems as a chance for us to find… solutions?

The honey badger is really pretty badass. It has no regard for any other animal whatsoever. Look at him, he's just grunting, and eating snakes. Eew! What's that? A mouse? Oh that's nasty.

But look! The honey badger doesn't care! It's getting stung like a thousand times. It doesn't give a $#%^. It's just hungry. It doesn't care about being stung by bees. Nothing can stop the honey badger when it's hungry. What a crazy @&#%!

In, please!

I told myself that it's too distracting, but I can't resist.

Quick question about Grey characters: does immunity to conditions mean that they are immune to the Yellow Assassin, or can they still become part of the Yellow team? I assume that they are immune, but it wasn't completely clear to me whether Yellow is a "condiion".

Welcome
