Keep track of the ones that you would consider buying, if cash and your dignity were not a factor.

A cup warmer or self stirring mug actually seem somewhat useful if you sit at a computer.

I don't even need to stir my coffee since it's just black, but I would still kinda like to watch that. And I want the cleaning putty.

Wow, at the time of voting, I'm the highest vote with 7.

...guess it shows how easily amused I am....

for the record, the 7 were:

Mug warmer - my coffee gets cold before I drink it all.
Tiny desk vacuum - hey, my desk is dusty...
Cleaning putty - ...and my keyboard is dirty.
Desktop fridge - ok, this was probably not necessary, but thought maybe for work.
Clip cupholder - to hold my drinks, of course!
Washable keyboard - see Cleaning Putty.
Cord wrapper - eh, seemed like a good idea at the time.

I have the stapless stapler; I bought it at a brick & mortar. It works well. Most of the others are the sort of gimmicky things that people buy as gifts, but not for themselves.

Most of these are geared toward desk workers which means few of them make any sense for me.

The cord/tangle device is the only one I would consider, but if this was an issue for me I could rig something up for free.

Free is better.

I wouldn't mind having a desk vacuum, but the one shown looks geared toward the gimmick rather than the function. I would buy one for the function.

Have you seen that Lego minifigures make great cable holders? You just need a bit of sugru.

Anything that aids my alcohol consumption.

Being a tea purist (well, a teabag and milk tea purist) and self-stirring mug and mug warmer are far from acceptable items.

I think that all right-thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am.

I've had a mug-warmer for a very long time. It keeps my tea at drinkable temperature until I can finish it. Mind you, it won't warm up anything, but if your mug and contents are already hot, it'll keep them that way.

What I would really love to have if I had the money is one of those hospital/nursing home tables so I could put my laptop on it and then I could just wheel it around.

Of course, further thinking. I suppose I could put a full tower on the bottom part along with UPS, the 17" monitor I have on top, and the keyboard and mouse on the pull-out shelf... devil whistle

Nope, want the hospital ones. They are EXTREMELY rugged. The computer carts just suck. Medical ones really are best. Actually called overbed tables.

Something like this that retails about $2k, maybe add a bit to hold a tower. One model's table can hold 500 pounds:
