Hello -

I don't think I've ever posted a deck before, but I was looking for a solo Rohan deck to beat DT a week or two ago so I thought I'd share what I came up with to hopefully help somebody out. My initial search turned up a deck by

that I tried first.

I found that it needed some adjustments to deal with Dunland Trap and this is what I have so far. It beat DT on 2 out of the first 3 attempts. (The loss was due to In Need of Rest followed the next round by Wild Men Of Dunland. I did not have either Test of Will or Power of Orthanc at any point in that game.)

Deck Created with The Lord of the Rings Deckbuilder

Total Cards: (50)

Hero: (3)
1x Éomer (The Voice of Isengard)
1x Eowyn (Core Set)
1x Théoden (The Morgul Vale)

2x Escort from Edoras (A Journey to Rhosgobel)
1x Gandalf (Core Set)
3x Gondorian Spearman (Core Set)
3x Guthlaf (The Blood of Gondor)
3x Minas Tirith Lampwright (Encounter at Amon Dîn)

2x Veteran Axehand (Core Set)
3x Westfold Horse-breeder (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Westfold Outrider (The Voice of Isengard)
2x Winged Guardian (The Hunt for Gollum)

Attachment: (4)
2x Firefoot (The Dunland Trap)
2x Unexpected Courage (Core Set)

Event: (16)
3x A Test of Will (Core Set)
3x Close Call (The Dunland Trap)
3x Feint (Core Set)
2x Mustering the Rohirrim (The Hunt for Gollum)
3x Power of Orthanc (The Voice of Isengard)
2x The Wizards's Voice (The Voice of Isengard)

Spoiler (click to reveal)
The Defender of Rammas has been the most important ally. The fact that they can usually survive a couple of attacks is extremely important. Timing the completion of the first stage is vital as well. Ideally, you want only 1 ally - hopefully a Defender - in play, no enemies and 2-3 turns worth of Tactics resources saved up.

As I was putting this list together, I realized you can probably sub out the Minas Tirith Lampwrights (or even the Vassal of the Windlords) for some Westfold Horse-Breakers to help enhance the Rohan theme.

Have fun.

The key to beating this quest is Chief Turch. As he never leaves play, any damage on him is useless, unless you use Infighting to move it to other enemies. Mighty Prowess will spread a lot of damage among the Dunlendings, including the Chief. If you keep the Chief 'Engaging' lots of players, but not 'Attacking' the 'Time' will speed up. Not effective in solo play though! Cheers!
