Newcastle Upon Tyne
It's Summer (not that we Geordies, impervious to heat and cold, notice such things), and the people who share our venue on a Saturday are on holiday, which enables us to run ALL DAY gaming sessions for our next TWO regular meets! So - that's this coming Saturday, July 26, and also Saturday August 9. The doors will be opened at 10am and gaming will go on till shortly after midnight.
Yet more good news - both of these events will be FREE to everyone.
This is a great chance to play some of those games which don't often hit the table due to long playing time, or simply to play lots of shorter games.
Fresh meat is New members are always welcome! Turn up at any time in the day. There's always a new game starting up every half an hour or so, always more than 20 players in attendance and lots of games going on throughout the day. This is the essential info you need :-
Venue : Christ Church Hall, Simpson Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1XB
There’s a small Sainsburys close by, and various takeaways within walking distance. Free tea and coffee are available in the Hall, which has a kitchen area with microwave and kettle.
Price : First visit is FREE. (So if you join for an all day session you're really getting your money's-worth!) Regulars pay £2 each (£1 unwaged)
Getting there : Car parking is free in a dedicated car park adjoining the church hall. Manors Metro station is close by and the city centre is a short walk away. Lifts home can sometimes be offered if anyone is driving your way.
The club meets regularly on the second and LAST Saturday of every month. Normally running from 4.30pm till midnight but opening at 10.00am for all-day sessions
