Hi,

Can anyone tell me a good laser line marker for X-Wing? Preferably one i can get from the UK.
These are the ones you can check firing arks with.

Cheers
Barry

Harbor Freight has a laser line tool for electric saws that is $5. You can even take the base off and then it is half the length of a pen.

I had bought this: http://www.tabletop-laser.com/

About 30 euros. Not cheap but very professional and a usefull case.

I think this laser is for a few of gaming years for me ;-)

Best regards!

I've seen a bunch of the HF ones go bad and either burn out or fade away really quickly. The Black and Decker laser level works great though, for about $13.

I use this and works pretty awesome:

Base is detachable, so it's about the size of a chapstick. I like to keep the base on so I can set the laser and evaluate things without having to focus on keeping the laser steady by hand.

Payed around $17 shipped from eBay.

XBino's is the same one as the Harbor Freight Tools laser:

http://www.harborfreight.com/laser-marker-93242.html

It's $4.99, but in-store only. Someone else in this thread said that it's not very durable, but I don't have any experience with it.

$5 is a killer deal for this laser if you can get one in store. None of the harbor freights had this in stock when I was looking, and driving 2-3 hours in traffic to save $10 sounded like a bad idea anyway.

In terms of durability, I'm not sure what there is to break. It's a laser. Batteries go in it. It just does what it does. I don't know what sort of abuse people are expecting this to survive

try this search on ebay

Forgive my ignorance, but how are people using a laser pointer to help them with X-Wing? Can you set the laser for a certain length?!

People usually use them for drawing arcs, not distance. It can sometimes be hard to fit a ruler between models to see where the edge of a firing arc is. A laser line solves that problem. You still use the ruler for distance.

The carry, red, blue and green ones, but the latter are pretty expensive

There are several laser line pens available on amazon.de. However, as best as I can tell, they will not ship to the U.S.
