Hello lovely people. In a few weeks, as the title suggests, I will be going on a family holiday (vacation) to Boston MA for a week. I was wondering whether anyone from that area had suggestions/ recommendations of local gaming related stuff (Shops, Cafe's, clubs etc.). Anything at all would be much appreciated!

apologies if you feel i've posted this in the wrong forum, I just felt it was more likely to reach the right group of people here!

Hi,

check

Gaming Groups in New England - USA

however if you are staying right in Boston... Boston is a walking city... and you may really want to explore this historic (well not by European standards ) city

You could try this: http://knightmovescafe.com/

There are also game stores in the area such as http://www.thegamespeopleplaycambridge.com/ in Cambridge, near Harvard.

If you are here over a Sunday, you should simply attend Pandemonium in Cambridge (central square), 6pm to close is board game eve.

Cheers!

If you'll be in Boston proper, check out http://www.meetup.com/Boston-social-strategy-gamers/. Our gaming dates for August aren't posted yet, but there's typically two opportunities per week for gaming (one on Sundays at Pandemonium and one at another location, often the Prudential Center food court). All events are T-accessible.

Happy Gaming!

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote:
He said to his friend, "If the British march
By land or sea from the town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch
Of the North Church tower as a signal light,—
One if by land, and two if by sea;
And I on the opposite shore will be,
Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Middlesex village and farm,
For the country folk to be up and to arm."
