Not really interested in driving multiple cars. What are the downsides of playing two player otherwise?

This is definitely a game where more the merrier applies. Two player would be pretty boring as a large part of the fun is the interaction and choices of dealing with multiple opponents. I would pass if you want this as a head-to-head game. I love the game personally and it has been a mainstay of my gaming group.

I've played 2-player a few times, and the only way it really could work is if you use at least 2 cars each. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but it's definitely worth a try.

The game is really best with 4-6. 2 Players is really best if you are going to learn the game.
