When does the approval rating star token move?
I couldn't find this in the rules.

Nicola, the token moves once space for each building/park which is built on the board. This does not include the buildings players place during initial setup, only buildings/parks built as part of activating the Zoning Board.

FYI, this is discussed on page 10 of the rulebook, under the Zoning Board action description.

Ok! Thanks a lot!

The pdf here is not searchable, so I read it more than once, but kept on missing it!

I noticed there are stars with numbers in them shown on the top portion of the Approval Rating track. Do these numbers serve any purpose for game setup, such as starting locations based on the number of players?

In case anyone else has the same question, the stars printed on the Approval track indicate where the star token begins with various numbers of players.

For what it's worth, I had trouble finding this, too. I'm sure I read too fast over it, but it gets mentioned as an endgame trigger twice, and yet it isn't cross-referenced to how it happens. Clearly it's in the rules, and you shouldn't have to do more than that But it might be nice to highlight in future editions...

If I understand correctly, it means that at most 15 buildings/parks will be built by the end of the game (4 players). Among the 22 spaces available. Am I right?
That's a sanity check

16 is the maximum

4 to start
8 more (not yet triggered)
Someone builds two at once (end triggered)
During final round, two more are built at once
