Saw this on YouTube last night. Not sure how I missed it for so long but it was fun to watch. Production quality passable but good acting and an interesting story and a horde of Star Trek actors all over the place. The Orion Slave girl was worth watching all by herself.
Anyway, the eye candy in the movie for Star Trek starship combat players are all the ships. There is a strange Fed/Klingon hybrid and a bunch of early Star Fleet Technical Manual/SFB ships. A time travel results in turning the Federation into something like the Mirror Universe (for different reasons) complete with similar hull art. I was delighted to see Constitution class starships duking it out on both sides (Rebels used Fed, Klingons, Romulan, and Vulcan starships, the bad guys used Klingon, Federation, and Romulan ships). Sound familiar? Sounds like an attack wing game.
And there were Saladin class destroyers and Federation class dreadnoughts as well! I recommend it. In a way this is the sequel to a couple of TOS episodes and winds things together nicely. And we see the John Harriman character in something other than a throwaway role. He goes from humorous to menacing and back in the same movie.
I wouldn't mind getting ships from the "Galactic Order" someday with the flashy red hull art. It would go well with the Mirror Universe ships.
If you liked the ships from that, there are several other fan productions that have some nice ships and characters that could be added to attack wing as well. Star trek Phase 2 had a good enemy Starfleet version and some nice toys...Star trek axanar has a nice looking D-6 klingon ship coming out...looks boss, plus some good federation ships as well. One ship looks like a precusor to the constitution class. Just go to utube and type star trek you all find a bunch of stuff...some better then others so bear that in mind with a grain of salt. Starship farragut had a good battle with a romulan warbird (TOS) that might make a good scneraio as well.
