Battle starts with Tyler’s 1st Division assaulting Stone Bridge, defended by the Evans and Cocke infantry brigades. Confederates are defending well and Union soldiers can’t do much against them. Tyler needs to bring more artillery. 5th Infantry Division of the Union Army, lead by Miles, marches south of Centroville to take positions on the hills. Confederates send their cavalry to do some recon. Radford and Harrion cavalry brigades attack Yankee soldiers, but are forced to withdraw with some loses. Their attack slows Union soldiers a bit.

General Johnston decides to attack Union division. Fierce battle starts on the hills between Clab and Bull Run rivers. Confederates have much more cannons and thanks to them they win, forcing the remains of the 5th Division to withdraw to Centroville. Situation of the Union forces is bad, but 4th Infantry Division, lead by Runyon enters the Centroville just in time.

At the west Tyler’s division still attacks positions of Evans and Cocke, but all Union attacks are repulsed. Situation of the Confederates changes when 2nd Division of the Union army enters the battlefield from the north and moves south, to attack Evans and Cocke from the back. But Tyler is also in danger, because after beating Miles, main forces of the Confederation are moving fast and they might attack his division from the back as well.

Evans and Cocke brigades moves south, but Union soldiers are pursuing them. Evans brigade is destroyed, while Cocke’s manages to withdraw and join the upcoming Smith brigade. Confederates prepare their new defense positions at the Potrici Hill.

Johnston’s units are surrounding Centroville and assault the city, defended by the 4th Infantry Division. Both sides suffers some loses, but Union keeps city in its hands. At the east of the Centroville Confederates are trying to drive Tyler’s men back, but they meet solid defense. Union’s artillery from the west side of the river Clab begins to bombard Confederate columns gathered tightly on the east side.

After heavy fight, Centroville is taken by Confederates, but their attacks on the Tyler’s positions are fruitless. Also, Tyler’s division is supported by the Heintzelman’s 3rd Division. His men lunch counterattack north of the bridge. Surprised Confederates has big loses here.

Evans and Cocke are keeping their positions at the Potrici Hill and Unions soldiers can’t drive them away. Battle ends here.

Loses:
Confederation: 45
Union: 80

Ground points:
Confederation: 4
Union: 7

Overview:
Both sides suffered big casualties. Souths had better artillery that helped them in the fights for Centroville. Union had to wait till the most of its army appear on the battlefield, but manages to keep their lines and push Confederates on the south side of Bull Run. Centroville was lost, but Tyler was able to defend his positions and wait for Hentelman. Batlle ends with draw.
