From the 7/21 Avalanche newsletter:

1940 - The Fall of France

The definitive tactical-level game on the 1940 French campaign is back. 1940 - The Fall of France, Philippe Leonard’s master work, provides a rich narrative of the tank battles and infantry fights of this history-making campaign. This is no tiny set of a dozen “typical actions” – the full story is told through the scenarios.

This is a game you need on your table. Here’s why:

The Pieces.

Laser-cut and smooth as … something vaguely risqué and very smooth. No scorching. No soot. Simply beauty. You’ll want to hold them in your hands, you’ll want to move them on your game table. They will call to you even from within the lovely new box. There are 495 combat units and leaders on very thick pieces, and 165 markers that are just pretty thick. That's 660 tiles.

The Rules. 1940 - The Fall of France carries the new Fourth Edition rules, with full-color charts and all sorts of other goodness.

The Maps. Guy Riessen did them. Look at them here. Look at them!

The Scenarios. Fifty of them (Part I - II - III - IV - V - VI), telling the full story of the French Army's bitter resistance against the National Socialist hordes.

Panzer Grenadier is back. Join the fun.

You can order 1940 - The Fall of France right here.

The scenario and the counter count are the same as that on the back of the first printing.
