Subject: What is the pipeline for? rss

There is a pipeline connecting Bahrain to the mainland. What is it for? As far as I see, it isn't mentioned in the rules.

My guess is that it is meant to allow supply paths to be traced to the island.

It's not explained anywhere in the rules, but I've always assumed it allowed for the Coalition player to be able to use it to "connect" oil wells to the port on Bahrain for the purposes of determining victory (all Coalition controlled oil wells need to be able to trace to a port to be counted).

That makes sense. Using a pipeline for general supply didn't seem right, but it was all I could think of.
