Hello.

Can you help me with advice please?
My trouble is in following. I'm going to buy Rules & Accessories Pack and some planes (Curtiss P-40, Spitfire Mk.IX, Nakajima Ki-84, FW-190 D-9, Beaufighter Mk.VIF and Heinkel He.111 - I've chosen these because I want to try planes from different series). But in the rulebook that I've downloaded from Ares Games website all scenarios are for planes from the Starter Set. So will I be able to play those scenarios with fighters I've chosen? Or I can simply substitute planes listed in scenarios by those I have?

And if I'll play 2 fighters vs big bomber (those that I've chosen) will this be balanced for both sides? Or how do you play with bombers?

To play with more than 4 planes I do need additional airplane consols. So this means that I'll need the second Rules & Accessories Pack?!

I'm new to this game so, sorry if my questions are pretty silly.

Thanks in advance=)

Edit: added one more question=)

You don't need consoles at all. After a turn or two you'll have everything worked out and most players just have their cards sitting on the table with no console under them. Having one to look at as a template is useful though.

It's very easy to handicap the planes in Wings of Glory. You can add hit points to a weaker plane, or degrade the guns of a stronger one as you see fit. The scenarios provided are nice to have as a start (and have that history thing going for them) but you can fly whatever planes you like using them. You can also build your own based upon the planes you have. After your first play it will become apparent to you how easy it is to modify the game to fit the planes and number of players that you have.

I might suggest you consider the me 110, as an escort to the He111 for a more interesting scenario.

And the Beaufighter is a wicked plane--maybe too powerful. If it shoots something, they disappear pretty fast.

And as has been suggested elsewhere, sometimes flying the bomber(s) is not that interesting especially if you only have a few players at the table.

The bomber(s) on 'auto pilot', rolling a dice to see if it goes straight, slips left or right, is a good way to let players have the more exciting role of intercepting the bomber.

Ok, I'll replace Beaufighter with Messerschmitt Bf.110, but then again - will it be fine to play Me. 100 plus He. 111 vs just two Allied fighters from my list? Or should I add the third allied plane?

And just for interest, how many Allied planes should I have to fight against Beaufighter?
