My 14 yr old daughter keeps flipping the toilet paper over on the roller because it makes more sense to her. (I'm not saying which way is right because there is no winner there and we'd derail into chaos) but this house and every one we are related to does it the one way. She for whatever reason has an upside down brain and insists hers is the right way and keeps flipping it.

We may have to put her up for adoption.

I support her, indeed i find it full of sense. Why? You can fold it with the softer side out in a way i find easier that way.

But for the record, I just took the paper out of the roll and put it over the sink table, it's even easier

The wisdom of Solomon.

As for the OP, my wife goes through TP at such a rapid rate of speed, I am never able to assert my dominion on the orientation.

The wisdom of Solomon.

If you had only one toilet paper holder, though, Solomon would just recommend cutting the roll in half
