So I've taken a look about the lists and forums and such, and there are a few lists about Ameritrash 'classics' and the like, however I am wondering if anyone has a more modern take on it, or just a list of good trashy games from the last few years?

Not necessarily skewed to my collection tastes, though I appreciate that if you make the effort.

Browse the top games filtered by the thematic category - there's a lot of recent stuff in there.

Big 'ole chunks of wood. Buckets of Dice. I think block games make a nice modern take on the concept!

(I think the OP is using the term fairly liberally, and owns a fairly varied collection. So of course I'll rep a personal favorite!!)

If it floats your boat. laugh

By those standards I'll throw in Julius Caesar and Crusader Rex.

Spartacus: A Game of Blood & Treachery is a fairly recent game, and tons of fun if your group is fine with bribery and backstabbing. It plays up to 4, or up to 6 with the expansion. With Rex & CE in your collection, your group can probably handle this one.

If you routinely have a group of 5ish players, Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game is a blast. It plays well with 4 to 6 players, and is best at 5.

Merchants & Marauders & Clash of Cultures are also worth a look. M&M is probably a bit more 'trashy' in that the theme is stronger. arrrh

Middle-Earth Quest is a little older, but I really enjoy it (possibly because I love Lord of the Rings).

And if you want something light and silly, look no further than Terror in Meeple City.
