I work at my local Target and I saw our toy transition today... Target is clearly upping their game (all pun intended) on board game sales... I saw Firefly: The Game, King of Tokyo, Nuns on the Run, The Resistance and labels for Small World, Ticket to Ride: Europe and quite a few more... Kudos to Target for taking a chance on gaming and it makes me very happy to see this sort of change in big box stores (and I know they will clearance out in 6 months when they change stock...yay!)

However, one label caught my eye and I just don't know what this is...

Now my reasonable deductive skills tell me that WOTC is most likely "Wizards of the Coast" and I am well aware of the classic White Box for Dungeons and Dragons....buuuut I have seen nothing on a reprint of it, especially not for $23!
So...anyone know what this might be?

I'm guessing its the new DnD Starter Set! MSRP $19.99 on WOTC site.

I like that lineup -- it seems to have a lot in it that would appeal to a wide crowd and get some non-cruddy titles into more homes.

Now to just set a six-month reminder in my Google calendar: "Go check Target."

I noticed today that a local Target had all toys buy one get one 40% off.
They're definitely moving things to bring in the new stuff.

It's about that time where they cycle out the non-selling merchandise and prepare for the holiday season. It's definately a great time to grab some deals on cheap games.

I saw KoT at my local Target. I am assuming it was already out to fill the empty shelf space, as it was stocked with the kids games. But I am definitely keeping my eyes peeled for other new titles.
