There was a bit of mix up at DL Austin. They listed a specific person's number as the main number...when I got him, he said to call the main store number. I called the store and was put on hold until someone in "the back room" took the call and registered me. They required payment at the time of registration.

I did not have to pay upfront. A lot of them are requesting payment. I think it's the in NY has a payment option on their info page. The in Portland is at a con and requires a entire to the con on top of the registration fee.

I'm planning to go to the Littleton event unless reports from the first two make it sound like it won't be fun.

I have never been to a con of any type. This will be the first time so I'm not expecting to much. After all this is Colorado.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to the San Diego one. But it would have been nice to have Phoenix or Las Vegas. Even Albuquerque lol.

Later!

Wait. They play games in Canada besides Curling and Hockey? Quick! Form a committee to investigate this.

We do play games in Canada, and it is pretty much like in the U.S. except we all wear flannel, and we have to move the playing area and miniatures to the curb every time a car comes.

I know of at least 5 of us from Kansas will be going to Littleton, CO. Like another poster said though, if the first two don't sound fun though, it may end up being 4.

Although reports from Austin are that the event is a lot of fun, my own excitement for the game has waned a bit and I'm not willing to travel this far to participate. My FLGS is giving me all the ST:AW fun I need.
