The counters in the box differ slightly from those in the rules in that there are 28 Control Markers instead of the 26 mentioned in the rules.

This is not a major problem except for the fact that it states in the rules that once Jerry has used ALL his markers to control 26 squares, the Germans win.

So, is the German victory condition 26 or 28 controlled squares?

I do realise that this will only come up once in a blue moon but, come up it will and it would be great to have an official answer from Dan Hodges. This is a great game. I do believe that this has been asked several times before to no avail and that is why I am putting the question in its own thread.

With kindest regards,

Jim

I also have fewer Sabotaged pieces than the set-up guide states.

That is actually correct: two extra Control and one fewer each of Sabotaged and Jam, hence the need for clarification.

Logic suggests 28, if it were 26 you wouldn't need the counters. That is how I would play it; if you get to 27 you are probably screwed anyway.cry

David, sometimes the simplest logic is the best but, it takes a bleeding genius to notice it. Well done, Sir!

Technically it's 29 squares.

The Germans win when you are unable to place any more control markers because they've all been expended.

There you go, my genius blown apart in but a few words. Also if I were a genius I wouldn't be living in Accrington and definitely not working in social housing.

Thanks for clarifying. So the rules should definitely say "all 28".
