While the rest of us were playing with Playdoh ™, David, Ann, James and Scott played the classic Tigris and Euphrates. This was James and Scott’s first game and they endured the somewhat steep learning curve to learn the game. Once overcome, though, the game is quite rewarding.

James took a commanding lead in the centre board and had a very solid position with temples and monuments. Catastrophes from all the other players weakened him and although he looked fearsome, he had a critical weakness in blue.

*David* – 13, 13, 14, 14
Ann – 11, 11, 13, 13
James – 5, 12, 12, 18(!)
Scott – 3, 4, 6, 9

David – 10
Ann – 9
James – 9
Scott – 8

James appreciated the ability of the game to change it’s flow rapidly, even if it was against him this game.
