I've played for about 10 yrs. and have used the Yahoo Sports fantasy engine. Works pretty well and they seem to make small improvements year to year.
The nature of getting everyone across time zones to draft is next to impossible, but weekends usually work well. What also works is an email draft over several days. One person receives and sends out emails as picks are made. It's a little less intimidating for newbies. I would advise against auto pick drafts. I wouldn't mind joining the league, but I'm in a couple already with very limited time!
I was wondering if anyone here played fantasy football. If so, what site do you
play on? I'm planning on trying it out this year on cbs.sportsline.com. They have
a free fantasy football league. All you have to do is resgister on the site. I
don't see the point in paying for it since it's
my first time anyway. It's not like I'd win or anything. So if anyone has a league
formed there with a spot open let me know, I'd be glad to join. Otherwise I'll
have to join a league with people I know nothing about. At least I may know someone
from here, from a community standpoint anyway. I was looking at the automated draft
type since it would be hard to get several people together for 3+ hours of live
drafting. Anyways, let me know. We could start up a league if nothing else. But I'm
hoping someone here has more experiece in this area than I. I'm not sure if the
mail here is working so I'll keep an eye on this thread. I believe there's roughly
a month (maybe a little less) before everything has to be done. Like I say, I'm a
newbie to fantasy sports stuff so I don't know much.
