Do you have to have meeples on your farm throughout the game?

Or can you just use the wedding action to take a meeple back/get a new meeple if there are no more left on you farm ?

Thank you !

You need at least one meeple on your farm to do the "harvest" action to get grain. Also, you can only place meeples at other locations on the board by taking them from your farm. If you're not using grain and/or placing new meeples, there is no requirement to have one on your farm.

You don't need to have people back on your farm.
Though if you take the harvest grain action, there does need to be a meeple on the farm.

If you don't have anyone on your farm, you can still take the family action to get a new meeple on your farm to harvest or transfer to the village for another action.

The ratio of people to cake is too big.

You do NOT have to have a farmer at all times.

The only time you must have a farmer is if you plan on taking the farm action to make grain.

We've played it so that you can take the wedding action to get a new family member onto your farm, even if no one is there. We consider it to be that the meeples do not represent the entire figurative family. There is someone at home, even if they cannot handle the plough or go off travelling

You do need at least one member at the farm to use the farm action of course.

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars, where you will be forced to drift aimlessly farther into the vast, empty abyss of space until a lack of food, water and oxygen causes you to succumb to Death's cold embrace.

Playing by the rules is so over rated. We also allow anyone to use the wishing well for free, or take animals instead of cubes on their turn. Maybe.
