Welcome to "THE CHARACTERS!"

We have 16 now spread out over 8 cards/tiles.

If you know the game, then you would know 8 of them. They are still here, but now there are 8 MORE!

The new Characters are printed on the back sides.

We are striving to use more real Police Officers as characters, in fact...

From here forward it is our goal to have ALL new characters be real cops!

The original batch of 8 had one real cop in it, and the new group of 8 has 4.

For details on this, go here...
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1189371/real-police-behind-g...

The CPD is now exactly gender balanced with 50% female and 50% male. we plan to keep that balance from here on out.

Notice that the highest ranking character is a women.

(who is a real cop)

We are also striving for a nicely balanced squad in terms of racial / ethnic mix.

OK, you ready to take a peak?

Go here...

The 2nd Edition Characters
Here...

This link takes you to Low(ish) res PDFs on our site.

Well, I guess that's about it, except to say...

blankblankblankTHANKSblankblankblank

And...

Plea for help...

These components we have shown you today have been looked over thoroughly by our editors (5 groups of them in-fact), but...

Maybe YOU can find a misspelling, a typo, or some other error.

If you do...

Please let us know so we can correct it prior to printing.

and...

Thanks Group Six!!!

Looks definitely better than 1st edition, good job ! I also like that they are now double-sided for both genders, really nice detail. thumbsup

A few thoughts I can provide:

• Gloria Odell: Different size of numbers for her abilities

• Yvonne Pierce and Doug Pierce: Same ability name, different text

• Doug Pierce: Text box is too close to the portrait

• All signatures are showing a white outline

• "Commonville Police Department": Text is too dense and bold

• Character names and ranks: Text is too dense and bold - especially the rank ("Captain" reads like "Captaln" because the dot of the i melts the rest of the letter)

• Horace Sears and Denise Sears: Text box is jumping (has different locations)

• Badge No.: Text is too bold

• Frank Odell: "Commonville Police Department" has a different outline

This may sound nit-picking, but I'm afraid that some of these details really stick out.

By the way, is there a blank version or maybe even an Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop file for this ? I want to create my own cops, just for fun.

Hey Patrice!

Thanks for the feedback!!!

I will look into all of this.

Some of your issues have to do with looking at low res PDFs.

I'll try to get you something blank to play with at some point (after these are off to the factory).

Thanks again!!!

ZuHra Kinney - I feel her ability could be worded a little less. E.g.:

Transfer: Just before the any of your
movement phases of any of your
turns
, you may use your solid contacts in other parts of the
department to
get a permanent transfer by simply paying the
price (one Donut plus one Police Card, or 4 Police Cards) and to flipping your Character Card.
Then complete the rest of your turn (and every future turn)
using your new character.

For tidyness, the result would read as so:

Transfer: Before any of your movement phases, you may get a permanent
transfer by paying the price (one Donut plus one Police Card, or 4 Police Cards) to flip your Character Card. Complete the rest of your turn (and every future turn) using your new character.

Compared to the original block of text (see below) this reduces wordyness by about 20% while still maintaining clear instructions.

UPDATE:

We are very close to sending ALL the files to the factory (some have gone already), so...

Feel free to remind me of your "Blank" idea after you hear that this is all done (maybe wait an extra week so we have time to focus on finalizing plans for the custom dice orders, etc.)
