Welcome to "THE EVENT DECK!"

If you are familiar with the game Police Precinct, then much of what you are about to see will be expected (though new in appearance), but...

Several of the cards you are about to see are TOTALLY NEW!

These cards are part of the expansion being printed along with the 2nd Edition.

You might notice that each card is numbered. The basegame cards are numbered 38-76 (ending with The Stolen Car" card), then the expansionary cards (Stretch Goals) are 77-89.

Well, Take a look at...

ALL THE EVENTS WE ARE ABOUT TO PRINT

http://www.commonman.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Events-G...

A couple things to keep in mind as you look at this item...

TWO PARTS - The Event Deck that you will be looking at is really sort of two decks. The first deck is the basegame deck (ending with "Car Theft"), and the 2nd part is the Expansionary component of this deck (starts with "Pet Gator" and goes all the way through to the end of the deck). We plan to have the expansionary items be something that is supplied free of charge to all backers who are entitled to Stretch Goals from the the 2nd Edition Kickstarter. These cards do constitute a portion (but not all) of the Stretch Goals for that campaign. Also keep in mind that the very first card in the expansionary pack is NOT a playable card, but simply a "Cover" card, which will take fans of the game to a page on our website that will have more info about this expansionary pack of cards.

BLANK CARDS - Yes there are two cards in this deck that are "blanks" and this is intentional. We are providing a couple of blank cards so that people can "make their own Events. Doing this sort of thing (making your own cards) is not for everyone, but we have had plenty of requests for this, and would like to make this available. We did this for the Unknown Circumstances Tokens and that has been a great things for fostering creative thinking. So, in a similar way, we think that it will help create new ideas for Event Cards, which will benefit everyone, so...
We see this as a very good thing to include in the expansion.

And...

CARD #1 is THE BACK:
When viewing any cards in deck form, the first "card" you see is actually the image found on the BACK of ALL of the cards in that deck. Then, all the rest of the "cards" are the images found on all of the fronts of the cards (so it is not uncommon in certain decks to see some or even a lot of duplication in the fronts -- Like would be the case with an Investigation Deck with all of it's "nothing yet" style cards)

Well, I guess that's about it, except to say...

blankblankblankTHANKSblankblankblank

And a little...

Plea for help:

These components we have shown you today have been looked over by our editors, but...

Maybe YOU can find a misspelling, a typo, or some other error.

If you do...

Please let us know so we can correct it prior to printing.

and...

Thanks!!!

Ex: Having the location say "At Jake's Pawnshop" seems a little clumsy. I think you can go with just "Jake's Pawnshop" as it appears much cleaner.

Hey David!!!

Great to hear from you!!!

Did you notice who the Clerk is on the Officer Down Card?

Got you covered man!

So, to your comment...

Do you mean that card specifically?

or...

Do you mean all the cards?

Gang Outreach Card

Pop quiz...

Poll
I have read this card, and here is how I think it works...
The active player must choose the difficulty level of this Emergency. Emergencies in the game tend have difficulty levels of 3,4,5,or 6, and those are the options for this Emergency too (also ZERO is an option). Now of course who wouldn't want an easier difficulty level? but there lies the dilemma because the active player must not only pick a level BUT ALSO create a total of 11 Challenge Points in the process. So easier difficulties mean MORE OTHER STUFF that has to be activated (punks and Unknown Circumstances).
The Dirty Cop chooses the difficulty.
The Difficulty MUST be 6 because of the handcuffs in the lower right-hand corner of the card.
None of the above.
All of the above.

The cards look great. Just throwing this out there about the blanks. I plan on using the blank as a wild card and not write on it. I'll have the group fill out, on a separate sheet, 6 scenarios numbered 1 through 6. If we get the card in play, we'll roll a die to see which one to use. That way we have just added 6 more cards for free.

I definitely agree. Remove the "At" on all of the locations.

Also... the art on "Violent Addict" doesn't quite seem to fit. Why is it the nurse wielding a bat?

and why is a naked man running in traffic?

and why is a gator on the loose?

This is the crazy stuff that comes up from time to time for the CPD.

Every Thursday after work Nurse Jackie plays softball in the park with a coed group. It has been a great way for her to meet people and get a little exercise.

She keeps her equipment in her locker.

No one saw this coming, least of all the people who got in her way that fateful day.

wow

Card: Incident report - System Crash:

The computer systems that controls
the traffic lights, communications,
and critical officer dispatch have crashed.

That should be: 'The computer system that controls' or 'The computer systems that control'
