Common Man Games
Welcome to "THE INVESTIGATION DECKS!"
Yes, that's right, there are MORE than one of these cool things!
And, in fact more than 4!
I say four because for those of you who are familiar with the game, you would expect there to be 4.
There is more than four though because of...
(That's the mini-expansion we are printing along with the 2nd edition)
Each item we present to you will be delivered in the way that we think makes the most sense. In the case of these decks we think a network of folders holding PDFs would work best. That's how we deliver most of our content to our editors.
Here is a link to the Investigation Decks...
Just a few notes to you about them...
CARD #1 is THE BACK:
When viewing any cards in deck form, the first "card" you see is actually the image found on the BACK of ALL of the cards in that deck. Then, all the rest of the "cards" are the images found on all of the fronts of the cards (so it is not uncommon in certain decks to see some or even a lot of duplication in the fronts -- Like would be the case with an Investigation Deck with all of it's "nothing yet" style cards)
SMALL CHANGE #1:
This area of the game, by comparison to others, changed very little between the 1st edition and the 2nd. As always we did NOT change the card backs! We did brighten up the dumpster image a lot, so it looks really nice now.
SMALL CHANGE #2:
We changed one of the pieces of evidence in the crime scene deck slightly. The "Bullet Casing" is now the "Shell Casing". This is a tricky one because the Murder board now has the word on it too, so we had to change that also, and images in the rulebook. We did try to catch all instances of it. BUT... Please let us know if you notice anything we missed with regard to "Bullet" changing to "Shell". Thanks!!!!
NEW MURDER WEAPON:
Yes there's actually two new murder weapons! They're included in Naked Man. In fact ALL Three are in Naked Man, along with extra Nothing Yet cards which are designed to help experienced groups to make the game harder if they want by adding cards to the deck.
But what I was going to say is that the base game will actually have a new default murder weapon, which is a hand gun. It turns out that it's a service pistol (issued by CPD), but the identifying markings have been scratched off by the bad guys.
How did this weapon get out of the hands of the good guys to then be used by the bad guys in a murder?
Does it involve a Dirty Cop???!!!???
There are a lot of unanswered questions here!!!
So, watch for that type stuff.
Well, I guess that's about it, except to say...
Plea for help...
These components we have shown you today have been looked over thoroughly by our editors (5 groups of them in-fact), but...
Maybe YOU can find a misspelling, a typo, or some other error.
If you do...
Please let us know so we can correct it prior to printing.
Thanks Group Six!!!

So I'm way late to this, but one thing I'd like to see changed on these decks here is the colour scheme. There have been more than a couple of plays where a dirty cop was exposed not for the actions they took, per se, but because one of the people next to said dirty cop knew they had fudged an investigation deck because some of the cards were bright white background all over and some weren't, and it was easy to tell that they had suppressed evidence. With small cards and a large table, it's difficult to effectively draw cards without someone noticing borders.
