Everyone is having problems with the Tie Phantom, especially Whisper. The 4 green dice makes it hard to hit. What about the Auto Blaster? You get no dodge dice. Sure, it isn't the best use of points most of the time, but in the current meta?

You can still use focus or Target Lock to improve that, as well.

Your premise might be slightly flawed.

As a phantom player, auto blaster shouldn't be much of an issue at all. The hard thing with phantoms is getting/keeping them in the arc. Since whisper and echo are higher ps, they can decloak and roll to make sure to stay out of the arcs.

Well, Boba with VI and Engine and Autoblaster might work.

Solo with VI is the best counter, especially with engine upgrade. Impossible to know final location and with 360 arc there is no safe place. Add in a gunner and it just crushes the phantom, in my experiences. The one counter that I have been trying to work against it is echo/whisper with a mini howl swarm for action denial and lots of small attacks.

Autoblasters still suck, don't bark up this tree.

You could make an interesting counter with a loaded PS 10 Ten Numb + Autoblaster + Engine + Advanced Sensors + experimental interface (when it comes out), but then you wouldn't have a versatile list to take into other games since both Autoblaster and Ten Numb are over priced for what they bring (imho).

Leave autoblaster on the scrap heap where it belongs.

Ah, but what about the Autoblaster Turret that seems to be in Wave 6? Nobody will want to park at range 1.
