Then there's the "game" of Geocaching. This will have you solving puzzles and exploring your environment, whether you're a city dweller or like to get off the beaten path.

If you want to stick closer to a game format, there's Perplexcity, where you buy cards, solve puzzles and get closer to finding a treasure.

If you're up for a two-player game you may want to try Discovery (Destination Tresor in French). It's a bit hard to find but a real interesting game with alot of puzzle elements. You start by parachuting onto an island, and your opponent knows where you are, but you don't. By comparing the terrain around you with your map you gradually figure out where you are...
