Does the co-op run as long as the competitive version? BGG lists it as 120 minutes.

It generally takes as long at the competitive version, which is 30 minutes per player. Of course that can vary widely depending on how much your group likes to debate strategy.

As to how the co-op game works in more detail, the full rulebook is posted here: http://incredibleexpeditionsgame.com/rules.html

Basically you set up the board a bit differently, then place a Discovery Token face down on each Location between Port City and The Drowned City of Atlantis. You'll then explore together and be able to reveal these Discovery Tokens. Some will be the Keys to Atlantis, while others will be nothing. Once you collect all the Keys, you can venture in for the final set of Encounters at Atlantis.

The co-op game also introduces the notion of limited rest turns. You take a number of Rest Tokens at the beginning of the game to set the difficulty - 3 is standard, 2 is incredibly difficult, 4 is easier. This is the total number of times you get to rest in the game, so you need to strategize carefully to make the most of each ship's Crew throughout the voyage.

You will also use an additional deck of Peril Cards, which add to a Peril Track. These cards, and this track, represent global dangers that every ship must deal with. You can reveal fewer of them if you split up, but then you co-operate less. If you co-operate more by sticking together, you'll draw more of these cards.

And that's how the co-op game differs from the competitive game.

The game hasn't officially released yet, so the current method of securing a copy is through Pre-Order on the website: http://www.IncredibleExpeditionsGame.com

The regular edition is all printed (still waiting on foil cardstock to be ready for the Grand Tour Edition) and will be assembled soon and go through Q/A checks. Trans-Pacific shipping times can get wonky in November, but I'll post updates on shipping progress on the facebook page first: https://www.facebook.com/IncredibleExpeditionsGame
