Some one at my local store is using a borg cube with koss, weaoyn, and conditional surrender in month 3 I started getting scared about it and wonder how can i beat that?

So far this is my build

Bioship Alpha 38
Independent flagship (free scan) 10
Weyoun (plus 2 crew slots) 6
Breen aide 2
Koss 3 (in case of borg or superior intellect)
Auxiliary control room 4
Anitiproton scan 5
Feedback pulse 9
Cheat death 6
Counter attack 4
Polarized hull plating 3

Total 90 points

1. Chang on something that will go after his Weyoun.

2. Bump his ship with something with hull 7+

3. EM pulse or P-Beams on a turn you have the attack

4. Repeated uses of Adm Kirk or V'Las

V'Las probably wouldn't help as much since its Weyoun/CS and not Weyoun/Varel. V'Las only disables crew.

Right sorry he disable not discard crew. If he discarded it would break CS.

But Koss can force you to steal him first.

Crosis is specifically worded to allow you to bypass Koss. First you disable a crew (Koss) then you steal a crew. You can do that since Koss is disabled.

You know I hadn't considered that it working like that, good catch. That's an interesting option.

Just to clarify, if you played Crosis on Weyoun/Varel/Koss, the expected result would be:

Koss to be disabled (by first part of Crosis)
Weyoun dsables to save Koss
Koss is stolen by Crosis (by second part of Crosis)

So, basically Koss can save Varel for one turn...

Then your Crosis is discarded, so you better bring your own Weyoun or Vanik to get Crosis back. Else have another way to steal something.

None of your other upgrades, Koss himself still can.

So if you disable or discard him the other upgrades can then be affected.

Right but Crosis can beat a Weyoun, CS, Koss. But I agree Koss is more useful on a Varel build as you can have multiple crew with it. CS/Weyoun pretty much only lets you a 1 crew so Koss only helps vs disabling cards.

One a somewhat unrelated note, keep in mind that Antiproton Scan and Breen Aide won't stack with each other. Only one of them can trigger off the Scan token.

Or bring el cheapo Goval along to prevent Crosis from being discarded (once anyways).

He's not using Weyoun (6), he's using Weyoun (7) which costs 6 points on the Bioship.

I kind of hate Crosis in this OP. Whoever manages to fire their Crosis first probably ruins the other player's combo and wins.

Yeah, but then you have to play it more offensively which introduces some risk with action economy. I ended up going with my defensive build over my offensive build.

I was asking in relation to the Weyoun/CS combo, not the ops build. Its pretty obvious in the build he's using Weyoun (7).

There are a few ways.

An Admiral on the same ship

A Flagship card with an elite slot

and now

a Fleet Captain card with Elite slot

an Officer card with Elite slot

This is the problem build that someone beat me with in my OP 3:

Tactical Cube
Weyoun
Fleet Captain - Independent Klingon
Crosis
Illia
Varel
whatever to fill it out to 90, possibly Admiral Kirk

With this, I am completely immune to losing my actions from bumping anything, so I can fly super aggressively. If I manage to Crosis your Varel or Crosis, you're kind of doomed.

What about Second of Five? He can just make you discard any upgrade, and based on how things went with OP1 the talents are an upgrade. So just get rid of Conditional Surrender and leave him with a useless Koss.

Koss protects all upgrades so Second of Five would only be able to target Koss.

Update: Fourth of Five however should work.
