Hacienda is taking more and more place during our evening of gaming. In our last games we tried different strategies and there seems not to be any absolute winning strategies. With 4 players, Marc-André, Mario, Martin and Pierre, we decided to use the asymetrial map.

Marc-Andre decided to pick many terrain card and many animals during his first turns to prepare for something big. As in our last games, no player was able to do long land chain as the others were always blocking these chains. For a very long time most of the game was played on the eastern part of the map. Martin had a very good start in his corner with many lakes and a land chain of 7 tiles. Mario tried to build a land chain and made some money with his beef chain. After round 1, it was very close with Mario and Marc-Andre at 45, Martin 44 and Pierre 40 points. The beginning of round 2 was the turning point of the game as Marc-André builded a very long land chain of 13 land. We tried to stop him on some places but he used 3 pampas to go over the other players obstacles. He made lot of money with this chain and many victory points with an Hacienda. From that point he was not bothered for the rest of the game. In final scoring, Marc-Andre scored 19 land and 16 victory points with Hacienda and 4 victory points for money. Martin and Mario almost had 20 points of water each.

Another good game of Hacienda tonight and the strategies used were agin very different. The long land chain looks very powerful and if you're able to complete one you'll earn big money and many victory points. Pampas tile are also very powerful and we may add a variant in which each players will begin the game with 1 pampa tile.

Final scoring;
Marc-André: 134
Mario: 133
Pierre: 122
