I am busy making my own copy of this great game and i had a very simple question. Instead of cutting tokens as spices i was wondering if it was possible to use cubes. Would they fit and be handy on a standard sized board?

Thanks in advance

Of course, I think cubes make up great spice. Make sure you have a LOT of them as there tend to be much spice flowing (at least in my games).

IIRC, the spice in the original game adds up to something like 122. Circumstances where you run out at that level would be VERY rare.

And rather than just one cube = one spice you'd probably want to use multiples of spice; 1, 5, 10 represented by different sized cubes.

or, different colored cubes

I'm also considering replacing my game's tokens by wooden or plastic tokens.

I was thinking of plastic cristals for the spice, but actually cubes are just as good an idea (plus, it'd definitely be cheaper)

What color(s) do you think would best represent spice?

Thanks in advance

I don't know, acrylic gems are very cheap. Same color in two sizes works well and looks great.
