Hey there, just played my second game of "Desperados" yesterday and although I like the game a lot until now, I'm not exactly sure about the game balance (although two games in, I don't think I'm the best judge for this). The first game was with six players and it was a solid victory for the marshall. The second game was with four players and the outlaws simply demolished the place. Might have been just tough luck, but I have the feeling that the more players there are, the easier it gets for the marshall. Any similar observations? I'm quite tempted to try it out with five, soon, to see, whether this might be the best player count.

Hi there!
I've played 4 games: two againts 4 player and two against 3 player.
I won the first two: I agree that is easier for the marshal catch one despedado, so he cannot play that card for the rest of the game...
But i think that it's very important do some bluff (Marshall can watch bank-card).

Anyway i need mor games to judge...

We played a 3 player game today (2 desperados) and it was way too easy for the desperados, compared to a 5 or 6 player game I played before.

Way too many casino tiles per player, and not enough sheriffs to protect the coaches (with more sheriffs there is a higher chance that some of them will be at a bank close to the coaches when the next turn starts). Overall, the board is just way less crowded, which means an easier time for the desperados.
