not really sure what is suppose to happen so i am asking.

So lets say you bid at an auction and the time has passed and the auction closes and you win the bid.

What is suppose to happen?
Does the winning bidder wait for an email for a request to buy said item at the geek auction?
or does the buyer do something to start the buying part?

Moved to BGG Help and How-To.

The seller usually contacts the buyers with shipping costs/options and a PayPal address or other payment information.

If the auction/item had free shipping and the PayPal address was in the header, they might possibly be waiting for you to pay, but if you have questions, you could geekmail the seller directly.

N/A

it just ended last night, so they'll probably contact you today or tomorrow.

It isn't an official BGG thing. It's another user selling you games, so it's going to vary from auction to auction. Some sellers underestimate the effort involved so it might be a bit before you get contacted.

How long is a normal wait time when an auction ends to to get marketgeek info or even to actually pay the auction that you bid on?

Usually within a day or two. If the auction is especially large, it may be a few days.

Thursday a few days ago? Slightly unusual, but if you were concerned, the best thing to do would be to geekmail the seller directly.
