I have not had any luck with the Battle Over Britain micro community, so I thought I would move this plea to the Wargames forum:

Posting a thread is fine, but there's a better way to do this (better because threads get moved down into the pile and you might not find somebody needing it immediately).

If you click on the name of the game to go to the game page and scroll down to the Statistics section, you'l see Has Parts for Trade and Want Parts in Trade. Those are there so people having or needing parts can connect easily. It doesn't matter if you're trading or giving them for free; you can specify it's free if you like.

Go to the User Information section on the game page - if you don't have anything there yet, you'll need to click Record Information first. Once you do, you'll see edit fields for Want Parts and Has Parts. Just describe what counter you have in the Has Parts edit box and enter it. After doing so, the number next to Has Parts for Trade in the Statistics section will increment, and other people can click on that number to see the parts people have. For this game, yours will be the first entry, but some games have many.

This is a very useful feature that people don't use often enough. Give it a try!

I know, but I am not looking to trade it, just give it away.

Also, I doubt there is much risk of this thread getting buried...it's very crypt-like around here for activity.

Too cool.

One of the books of my early childhood was about a teddy bear whose button nose had been lost.
