I'm in London later this week and there is a slim chance I might get to go shopping. Are there any well stocked games stores within easy access of Kings cross station? I don't know London very well so any help is appreciated!

These guys

Orcs Nest
6 Earlham Street
LONDON WC2H 9RY

Small store with a great inventory.

edit: here's their web page, where they have a little map.
They're just north of Leicester Square, off Tottenham Court Rd. It's only a few minutes by tube from King's Cross. It's a bit of hike, but you could even walk it if you cared to take in some scenery along the way.

edit2: Sorry, at that end it's Charring Cross Rd, not Tottenham Court

There's also the decently stocked Forbidden Planet, about 2 minutes from the Orc's Nest and also Village Games in Camden. Neither are particularly cheap but are good for finding an unexpected gem (Village Games had a copy of Tigris & Euphrates last year).
