I was all set to go to bed and attempt to get at least 4 hours of sleep, but that dastardly Rob Wood teased me with a new game I had not yet played ... The Hobbit. He warned me it would be light, but he didn't tell me it wouldn't be any fun. Roll the dice, move, try to steal a gem, etc. No real decisions to be made throughout the entire game. Yawn ... and not just because I was exhausted. I should have gone to bed.

Other than as a pastime for young children, I found nothing of merit here. Yet another attempt to capitalize on the Lord of the Rings craze. Sadly, this is just the type of game that will continue to cause American adults to scorn board games as strictly "child's fare".

Finals: Rob 20, Timothy 18, Greg 17, Peter 16
