So as I continue to wait for my game by pimping various bits and pieces, I'd like to now work on making a 3D version of the six-shooter chamber and the specialized bullets for it (similar to http://www.dasspielunker.com/). I've taken a look at Johannes unboxing video but it remains unclear to me what all the pieces are. So I am appealing to those of you who have the game to answer the following questions about it:

1. Which of the heroes uses the chamber and bullets? (Do I just need one for both box sets or does each set come with one?)
2. What are the different bullet types (including colors) and bonuses?
3. Do you mix and match bullet types or do you have to load with all six of the same type?

Promise to post pics once I'm done.

Or this:

Thats likely way more bullets than one person needs (84 bullets). Split it with a friend or two though and you would be in the ballpark for only $20 total.

They would just need a little bit of spray paint and yer good to go!

Peace

Just one for the Gunslinger

IIRC
Gold: Deadeye +2 Damage
Green: Ricochet: Ignore line of sight
Silver: Cerberus: Area Effect
Red: Hellfire : Double Damage

By default the Gunslinger has 6 Deadeye bullets, he can gain advances that give him access to the other three, so he can mix and match.

The counter mix has six of each.

Okay, so I had a chance to whip up some of these. Here are the steps in case you want to make them too.

1. Purchase 2" diameter dowel, 3/16" diameter dowel and 3/16" lock washers (all of this was about $11 at Lowes).

2. Cut 2" dowel at 1-3/4" lenghts.

3. Make template for holes using 3/16" bit.

4. Cut 3/16" dowel into 1" lengths. After drilling middle hole using template, place center dowel to hold template into place. Drill guide holes. Remove template and drill larger holes to fit bullets (whichever size you are using.)

5. Optional: Use spindle sander to put in grooves along side of barrel.

6. Add the lock nut onto center dowel.

I have blank .38 special bullets for these and will color the ends of them to correspond with the different bullet types. This is to differentiate them from the smaller 9mm bullets I am using for grit tokens.

I was originally going to paint these silver to emulate metal but I am sort of liking the natural wood. What do you all think? Should I keep as is or paint silver?

Maybe a nice dark stain?

I'm thinking of doing something similar...but the tokens in the box seem excessive for just one character to use:
6 x Cerberus Shot Markers
8 x Dead Eye Shot Markers
6 x Hellfire Shot Markers
6 x Ricochet Shot Markers

How many tokens are actually used in a typical game?

I haven't played the gunslinger in a while but I don't think you ever need more than 6 of each type since that is the max that can fit in the chamber. The extras would be if you have two people playing gunslingers at the same time.

Yeah, we'd just be playing the one.
So 6 each seems like the max, then? (and there'd be tons of extras, since you'd be making 24 bullets just for one six-loader)

Yup. Just 24 total needed.

6 x Deadeye Shot.

The ability to load the others are unlocked by one of the Gunslinger's advancement trees which over 3 upgrades gives him the ability to load up to two of each of the other three types instead of some of the Deadeye Shots and then as the capstone (So Level 5 at the earliest) enables him to freely choose what six bullets he loads out of the four types.

He might use more than six in a game (Thanks to one of his possible starting abilities) but will never have more than six loaded at any one time.
