Hey folks!

So I've gotten really, really tired of building squad lists using pen and paper so I decided to make my own Excel based squad builder. Sorry, I can't write anything for the web to save my life, so this will have to do until something better comes along haha

It can build loadouts for up to 10 men squads at the moment.

What's new in v1.5:
*Campaign Support!! Have yet to run a full campaign myself, but everything that needs to be there is represented - Persistent mission effects, Victory Point scoring, etc.
*Weapon Jam variant resource bonus applied for soldiers
*Added additional fields for more Skills, Weapons, etc.
*Added ability to buy additional munitions (spare magazines and 40mm grenades)
*Formatting changes and a few formula corrections

What's new in v1.6:
*Added skill restriction double checks (for pre-reqs and limit 1 per mission)
*Loadout bonuses for ARs and Carbines with Rails(X) now calculate properly
*Identify which expansions card sets come from for faster indexing and sorting
*Spelling corrections here and there

What's new in v1.7:
*Added a flag for skills in Campaign mode so the prior mission skills to not deduct from XP balance.
*Soldiers Tomadakis and Paul now correctly recieve loadout and resource discounts for their weapons of choice
*Additional formatting changes and tweaks here and there

Work In Progress: v1.8:
*Sitrep cards to add/deduct RP bonuses
*Add cards from upcoming expansions along with Eastern Europe campaign
*Session Log

Dan, I'm flattered!

Let's keep the files hosted on BGG for now as I'm already working on some new updates and functionality - I'm planning on adding a mission log and some game analysis and statistics! By sharing the link on DVG, people would access to the latest build and version.

I created this tool in an hour or so today, so I'm positive tweaks can be made as people use the file and provide feedback.

Very nice. Just playing around with it now. It doesnt seem to support campaign games unless Im missing it. Can you possibly add the skills at zero cost as well as their on-card cost to support a campaign? Aside from that minor quibble, great work!

Edit: Of course if you did that, there would actually need to be more than four skills listed as well so that might be too much effort for small gain.

The tool does not support campaign games as of yet. There were too many differences between skirmish/pick up games and the campaign, so I'd thought I'd start with the path of least resistance first haha. Good call on the skill lists however. I'll think about extending the list greater than 4 at the moment.

However that said, I'm almost done with my first pass at a campaign mission log that will track all persistent mission "penalties" and help you build squad lists keeping those persistent mission modifiers in place.

I've been hesitant on releasing it yet simply because I haven't played the campaign, meaning it would be released untested.

Once I've had a chance to play the full campaign, I'll release v1.5 with my tweaks. I think you'll be pleased!

Some other things in the pipe: Adding the official Weapon Jam variant that gives resource cost bonus for burst/auto weapons.

Yikes! I just realized I forgot to add the ability to buy extra mags and 40mm grenades. That's going to be corrected soon...

Still haven't been able to figured out the following:
*Rail bonus for ARs and Carbines
*Carrying over campaign restrictions seamlessly to the squad builder. It's a manual/adhoc process at the moment, but still better than anything else available out there

What's new in v1.6:

To Do's:
*Implement soldier specific resource and loadout bonuses (Paul with M203, etc.)
*Find a way to ensure prior mission skills do not have cost when building squads for campaign mode
