Dear BGG,

I have had web widgets set up on my profile page for years now and within the past couple of weeks they have stopped updating. So that when we play a game and record it, it doesn't show up on the widget for recently played games. I have tried reinstalling the widgets, but it did not work.
Do you have any thoughts?

Thank you in advance for your help,
patchwerq

change the URL from http:// to https:// it's all part of the BGG kowtowing to Google (the "don't be evil" megacorp).

BGG is evidently switching from http: to https: in the URL - try that change.

This has just started happening to me: the 10 recently played games widget is not updating. I've tried resetting it and changing to 'https', but nothing works. Any more ideas? Thanks

I have similar issues with the "Last Played" widget.

My widget displays this order:
Karmaka
Magecraft
Not Alone
Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition
Tokaiod Collector's Edition
Arkham Horror The Card Game
Dreamwell
Mysterium
Multiuniversum
Rone

While it should display this order:
Karmaka
Magecraft
Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition
Not Alone
Mysterium
Ubongo 3D
Tokaiod Collector's Edition
Small World
Arkham Horror The Card Game
Dreamwell

It seems my latest plays displays correctly, but some of the earlier logged plays have fallen out of the widget display. Switching to https does nothing.

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

I just noticed this today for the first time.

My Recently Played games are showing games from Dec 25/26, but I've played ~15 games since then.

I checked in my Profile and it is indeed https already.

Only games I haven't played before are showing in my widget. Others are omitted. Some confusion between recently played and new-to-me? Could this happen?

Oh yea. I was trying to spot the pattern here and that is totally it. The widget only shows games that I am logging a play for the first time.

Example: I played Dead of Winter with a promo. Played DoW many times before, but it's my first time logging the promo. Only the promo shows up in the widget.

Great catch!

I checked, and the ones it's showing are the most-recent new-to-me games I logged. Even though I've played 15 games since then, they are all games I had already played before.

The problem seems to be fixed for now. My widgets have resumed proper function.
